*Chronic mental illness is a term used to describe a mental disorder based on a diagnosis by a licensed/regulated mental health professional (e.g. psychiatrist or psychologist), which shows that a person has serious problems (usually of long duration) in the areas of work, family and relationships and also has frequent variations in their thinking or mood.

Dr. Jonathan Prousky, ND, who has worked extensively with those suffering from mental health conditions, supervises our senior clinical interns. With an emphasis on clinical nutrition – as well as utilizing other naturopathic treatments such as botanical medicine and lifestyle modifications – the RSNC team will provide individualized care that supports your mental and physical well-being.

Dr. Jonathan Prousky (ND, Bastyr University, 1998; MSc, University of London, 2008; MA, Yorkville University, 2016) holds the positions of Professor and Chief Naturopathic Medical Officer at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. His primary responsibility is ensuring the delivery of safe and effective naturopathic medical care to patients, as well as ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the medical training in the naturopathic program. His clinical practice focus is primarily on the evaluation and management of mental health problems. He has spent over 20 years advocating for patients that wish to receive integrative care to assist with their mental health.
